Polychloroprene dispersions for waterborne adhesives

The Dispercoll® C grades are aqueous dispersions of polychloroprene (poly[2-chlorobutadiene-1,3]) with a high solids content.

Properties: The Dispercoll® C grades differ with respect to their crystallization rate and gel content. What they all have in common, however, is a long open time, high initial strength and good coagulating power.

Uses: Dispercoll® C grades with longer open times and low thermoplasticity are used for bonds requiring particularly high heat resistance. Grades with a strong tendency to crystallization are used wherever high initial strength and rapid curing are essential. A typical example is in the bonding of floor coverings.

Advantages:
  • Long open time
  • Rapid increase in the strength of the bonds
  • Freedom from combustible and environmentally unfriendly organic solvents

Contact us and our technical experts will be pleased to give detailed advice on specific applications and on the formulation of adhesives based on Dispercoll® C.
