More performance potential: Established "green builder" Sundt Construction, Inc. joins Bayer's EcoCommercial Building Network

Pittsburgh, May 7, 2012 — Bayer's EcoCommercial Building (ECB) Network incorporates new materials and equipment into the construction process to build cleaner, more efficient, more comfortable and more innovative buildings. Now, the ECB Network includes Sundt Construction, Inc., a general contractor with expertise in sustainable construction, particularly in the government sector.

Almost all of Sundt's current vertical or building projects are LEED Silver or Gold certified, demonstrating the company's commitment to sustainable construction methods. ECB provides a means to take Sundt to the next level, integrating the very best technologies to reduce the impact of buildings and to save money over their lifecycles.

As an Ally Member, Sundt brings worthy projects to the attention of the Network. In return, the Network deploys its capabilities to those projects and then helps to promote them once they are completed.

"This membership furthers our philosophy by extending our reach," says Kraig Hill, senior project manager of Sundt Construction, Inc. "We will now ally with material suppliers at the manufacturing level, improving our knowledge of sustainable construction, which we will pass on to our owners."

For ECB, the relationship with Sundt facilitates a fast and effective expansion into emerging markets and geographies. As a result, the network's breadth and expertise grows to accommodate a wider variety of organizations and a much grander scope to its net zero building capabilities.
