Vulkollan® Polyurethane Elastomers
Polyurethane Elastomers
Based On Naphthalene-1,5-Diisocyanate (Desmodur® 15)
For Demanding Mechanical And Dynamic Applications
Vulkollan® polyurethane in its primary form is a polyurethane
elastomer based on naphthalene-1,5-diisocyanate
(Desmodur® 15), polyester polyol and special chain extenders.
Vulkollan is produced by hot casting, and is the ideal choice in
all application areas that call for exceptionally high resistance
to wear combined with a high mechanical and dynamic load-bearing
capacity.

The raw materials used
for Vulkollan are subject to tight specifications and stringent
quality controls. All processors follow Bayer's guidelines
for Vulkollan formulations and production processes. These
are covered by a trademark agreement between Bayer and its customers
and are essential for the production of consistently high-quality
elastomers.
Vulkollan is used in numerous
applications for its excellent mechanical and dynamic properties.
In many cases, Vulkollan is used in applications where other elastic
materials do no meet the requirements.
