Because smaller parts
or surfaces may be sprayed indoors and outdoor spraying may be in
close proximity to other tradesmen or the public, the impact of
the mist or overspray on the operators and nearby workers must be
considered. Structures, vehicles and prevailing conditions should
be considered and appropriate environmental controls should be instituted
to contain wind-driven overspray. Spray gun operators and other
booth occupants must wear full-face, positive pressure, air-line
respirators to prevent inhalation of mist or vapors and appropriate
protective clothing, boots, and gloves to prevent skin contact.
At Bayer, we've taken
the initiative in constantly advancing the science of the safe handling
and storage of chemicals, both at our sites and at our customers'
sites. We call this continuous improvement effort our BayCare Progressive
Product Stewardship Program.
We have also elevated the communication of safe handling and storage
information to new heights. www.BayCareOnline.com
is the industry's first Web Site dedicated solely to providing
critical product stewardship information. Now, 24 hours a day, 7
days a week, our customers are just a click away from detailed,
customized instruction in the safe transfer, handling and disposal
of our chemicals, including current, clear, concise, and downloadable
Material and Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
