Impact Strength

Important in a variety of applications, impact properties — particularly impact strength — will help you select the proper material.  Impact strength, a plastic part’s ability to absorb and dissipate energy, varies with its shape, thickness and temperature.

Impact strength and tensile modulus properties provide insight into a plastic material's basic mechanical nature.

The multi axial impact strength of Bayblend ET1000 resin, according to the ASTM D 3763 test method at 73°F, is 48 joules. At -30°F, the impact strength is 51 joules.
