Temperature Profile

A typical temperature profile for the extrusion of the three new Desmopan soft-touch TPU 600 Series grades - DP-6065A and DP-6386A- is shown below.  The melt temperature for these grades should be kept between 175 and 215 degrees C (345 and 420 degrees F). 

Constant taper screws are suitable for Desmopan processing.  The compression ratio should be approximately 3:1.

The processing temperatures shown in the diagram should not drop below the given values to guarantee the extrusion of homogenous, gel-free products of the highest quality.
